Here at Numa, we believe that everything begins in the spirit.
We believe that Jesus is the authoritative Word of God and the Bible is the written expression of the Word. All scripture is God-breathed and, without it, the book is dead. The Bible is not enough by itself, we must have the Holy Spirit to understand it. Truth is a person, He has an agenda, and He is telling a story.
There is one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is holy and He loves us.
When we are physically born, we are dead in the spirit. We possess a sin nature and are hostile toward God.
Jesus is humanity's response to the Father. He is the only way for us to be reconciled to God. He was our substitute and, through belief in His perfect sacrifice, we are new creations called and empowered to do the will of God in the world.
Jesus raised us from the dead when He was raised from the dead. We are baptized in water to identify with that death, burial, and resurrection. We are baptized in the Holy Spirit to receive power and operate in the supernatural enablements to authoritatively establish His kingdom in this world.
The church is the bride of Christ and He is coming back for a triumphant and victorious bride.
The spirit of the living God is inside of us and we are empowered to live evil-free. Our success is not based on our efforts, but on our dependence, trust and obedience in following the leading and guiding of that indwelling spirit. God is not separate from us.
The grace that saves us is accessed through faith, which is given to us by God—faith isn’t something we come up with ourselves. Anyone who receives the faith to believe that Jesus saved them will be with God in heaven forever. People who do not receive this faith will spend eternity in hell.
